We decided to go to the Penang Peranakan Mansion located in Georgetown, Penang. It is easily eccesable by car and just located just a few kilometre from UiTM. That why we choose the place. We are not expecting anything but when we reach there, and go through the gate, We feel were welcome as the staff there greet us very nicely and give us the pamphlet of the mansion and also show us the way to buy the ticket. They are very helpful and tell us a few thing we must know about the beautiful culture of Baba Nyonya.
When we were there, we pay the fee to enter this magestic building that just RM20 for adult. If you are travelling in a group, they have special price for you. We come in around 9.30 am and explore the interior of the mansion while waiting for the tourist guide to lead us and tell about the mansion around 10.00 am. We carefully explore and watch the decoration inside the mansion. It is really actually very beautiful and magestic. No words could describe this mesmerizing mansion. Then around 10.00 we join the tour that had been organize by the Penang Peranakan Mansion
Our tour guide, I forgot the name but he is one of the person who work there more than 10 years and he told us that every thing in the Mansion had it own meaning. For instance, The beautiful small shoe that would fit the children, but the adult growing baba nyonya would wear as the symbol of beautiful and the husband would fall in love with them. They growing adult tend to break their bone to fit in the small shoe to follow their tradition but in fact, the husband would love them as they cannot run from home as their leg is small. It kinda bizarre and not a good tradition.
Next, the decoration that are normally been use as an object toward the house is also one of the thing that is important to their safety. Normally the ancestors do not trust their children very much. So they set up anything to prevent unnecessary thing happen to them. Normally, old house does not have CCTV but they have another alternative such as mirror. The tour guide said it is very clever to set mirror as the CCTV as the reflection can make person know what inside the house. It great isn't it?
Actually the building itself is quite unique. It is a two-story house and every room is filled with beautiful vantage decoration that we even do not seen anywhere. It has very unique design and craft. The tour guide said it has item collected from different of country such as Europe, China and also Malaysia itself. It quite unique and beautiful as it portray colour in glass and very shiny under the lamp. We also encounter the old camera more than our age! It quite unique and it take hours just to prepare one photo. It quite big and made from wood, to my surprise.
When we explore and reach at the cafe, the staff here were kindly assist us and tell us about the food they selling. They also sell the ginseng that is good for our heath and drink that is very nutritious. We were fasting that day, so we miss a chance to savor it but it okay. We can always came back later. The cafe have the Mangkuk Tingkat which is the normally malay use to pack their food for work. It also been used in Baba Nyonya days. 
We encounter another thing such as their daily wear. It is quite similar to Malay tradisional cloth but the design of the batik is not the same and it more focus on the design of leaf. It also have beautiful and embroidery of tread of shining colour. When a person where it, it look very elegant yet sophisticated and they have accessory which is in gold. The mansion itself a massive amount of gold collected from the Baba Nyonya itself and also been gifted from other person too! They also have a showroom to show to us and have a gift shop that sell jelwary and Jed for people who want to buy and bring to their loved one.
It was indeed a tired but very great day to spent at the Penang Peranakan Mansion as we can get a lot of Knowledge and good time. We also had a couple of picture there and the view is stunning. If you seek nostalgically and historical adventure you can come here! It really is wonderful.
